Privacy policy
Effective 2026-10-28
Squad Night is run by Justin Smith. This page explains what happens to your data when you use the site.
What we don't do
- No accounts, no logins, and no cookies set by Squad Night.
- The picker runs entirely in your browser. Your squad size, platforms and filters stay on your device (they're kept in the page address so you can share a link).
- We don't sell or share personal data.
Who sees what
- Hosting. Our hosting provider serves the site and, like any web server, processes standard request data (IP address, browser user agent, requested page) to deliver and protect it.
- Game images. Cover images load from Steam's image servers (steamstatic.com), so Valve receives your IP address and browser details when you view them. See Valve's privacy policy.
- Analytics. We currently run no analytics. If we add it, we will use a cookieless, privacy-focused tool and update this page first.
- Newsletter. Sign-up is not live yet, and the form on the site does not send or store anything.
- Links to stores. When you follow a link to Steam, that site's own privacy policy applies.
- Email. If you email us, we keep the message only as long as needed to reply or fix a reported error.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it: email hello@squadnight.example.com (placeholder address until launch). Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have additional rights, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The site is not aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
